Mainstream Art — One Mind to Another
In ordinary mainstream art, the artist has an experience or a vision in a dream that in some way has moved him – and he seeks to capture that experience and share it with others. Sometimes, there is no vision at all and even the complete absence of concrete experience. In that case, the artwork is an impromptu evocation of the depths of one’s subconscious, whether they be shallow or deep. Those evoked reflections of mind are, in one way or another, colored by not only the artist’s process of bringing the creation to life but also the subjective filter that the artist puts the process through from inception to final render.
The gamut of imagination is literally limitless in the realm of human mind and its expression. There have been countless works of art throughout time that have hypnotized generation after generation or even disturbed them in some way – but in nearly every case, artwork is the product of a single human being’s experience of reality, a “communication” from one to the many.
The New Paradigm for Modern Masters
Perhaps once in a generation is there a human that in some way has come into existence purely out of the depth of consciousness from which all minds arise. Such individuals typically become teachers or mentors and gather a following of people looking for enlightenment or some kind of release from the mundanity and struggle of everyday experience. Their talks, writings, and guidance serve a purpose for a time, but rarely do such beings step outside the context of formal teaching work to reach a broader audience – a larger collection of individuals that may or may not have any desire whatsoever to be liberated from their suffering or in any way surface their subconscious – to work with the contents of their mind.
Indeed, rare is the person that even sees the primary dilemma of human life at its very depth and the need for emancipation from the constricts of mind. But for those that know and have had a taste of the flow of consciousness without pre-meditation or any artifice of analytical thinking, such people are sensitive to the extraordinary, mindless, deeply compassionate and loving force of consciousness, unfettered by the weight of constant thoughts and clinging to experience. They are “ready” for the most precious of communications.
A Timeless but Radical Communication
All art that is created from “that place” is, by its very nature, liberating, regardless of what form it appears in. In fact, it reaches from the greatest depths of the human soul to reveal symbols, forms, and multi-dimensional expressions which stop the mind, open the heart, and reveal the center or core of being which resonates and pervades all conscious life-forms throughout all time. In this way, human beings of a transcendental, transpersonal realization are able to connect with the entire world without having to utter a single word. And one that has truly understood the true dilemma of life will embrace such communication and recognize it to be of unfathomable, priceless value. It is true help amidst the crisis of a life struggling to break free of self-obsession and the complexities of egocentricity.
